The timeline will depend a lot on your skills and effort in absorbing all the knowledge and tools of the course, but in general our students are able to lock in their first tech sales job as Sales Development Reps or Business Development Reps within 1-3 months of completing the course and actively applying (daily). 

While a college degree, especially in the fields of Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Communications and related fields will be of great help to position you as a strong candidate for your first tech sales job, it's not an absolute must. There are talented tech salespeople that don't have such formal education. However, in order to get into the industry which is highly competitive, they had to stand out further with other strong advantages and capabilities, even sharper CV crafting skills, interviewing tactics, sales knowledge and strong motivation. In short- it's possible.

For 90% of tech sales roles out there the answer is absolutely not. What you do need to have and demonstrate during interview processes is affinity to tech- meaning passion and interest in technology and your ability to learn quickly surface level technical capabilities. As a tech sales rep you'll have supporting departments like the Presales department who'll assist you with deeper tech queries. You'll just need to learn some basic concepts and elements around your tech capabilities, integrations etc which doesn't require any previous technology or software development knowledge. P.S. If you do have it though- it could be a plus especially for companies who have more complex products, but it's really not a requirement. 

This course is designed to help you get your first tech sales job specifically as a Sales Development Rep (SDR), Business Development Rep (BDR), and in some cases where candidates have solid prior sales experience also junior/SMB Account Executive (AE) roles.
